Wisdom for the Weekend

In the Advanced Track, we've been reading through Proverbs.  The Proverbs are wise sayings.  Here are a few words of wisdom for your weekend:

1:10 "My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them."
3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
4:23-27 "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil."
11:25 "A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed."
15:1 "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."
18:13 "To answer before listening—that is folly and shame."
28:13 "Those who conceal their sins do not prosper, but those who confess and renounce them find mercy."
30:8-9 "Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’ Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.
31:8-9: "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy."

  1. Proverbs 4:23-27 is something worth working toward! With my mind being the battlefield that it is, guarding it and having a gameplan when attacked is so important.. I have to kelp asking myself "m I thinking what I am thinking about and having God's armor on?"
