This is something fun to think about as a kick off to the week.I read the book of Zephaniah this past weekend. Before you get impressed, it's only three chapters. There are many neat verses in this small book, but one in particular struck me.
"The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing," (Zephaniah 3:17).
It was cool for me to think about God singing a song over me. I thought about what that song might be. What syle of music would my song be? What would the title be? What would the words be? What instruments/arrangements?
So I want to hear your thoughts. Imagine God rejoicing over you with singing. What would the song be? Have some fun with this...
Oh Lord! I have eclectic taste in music, however, I would like a singer/songwriter style song with clever lyrics wrapped around a memorable melody, perhaps with a message of beauty and everlasting love. Stylewise, maybe it's a little bit Americana, with traditional instruments thrown into the mix. Or, maybe something sweet and soothing with cello and violin harmonizing throughout. Whatever the song, I'm sure it will make me laugh and it will also make me cry.
