The last Goodbook message was about having helpers. This message is about the people we should be helping. In Matthew 26, Jesus identifies certain types of needs that really matter to God and that we are called to help with. Jesus said that whenever we help one of the least of these, we are doing this for him. Here is a summary:-Give the hungry something to eat
-Give the thirsty something to drink
-Invite the stranger in
-Clothe those who need clothes
-Look after the sick
-Visit the prisoner
As God's people we are called to help people in all of these situations. I realize that I am meeting some of these needs, but I am also missing some. I want to be doing something in all of these categories.
Could you share which categories you are helping with and how? Maybe we can help one another do something to help with all of the needs that God cares about. Thanks!
