I will be going on vacation for the next week. This is a good time to look back at some of the 50 Commands of Jesus we have been learning and make sure you are taking steps to live them out with God's help.
I wanted to leave you with a command. This is not from Jesus. It is from Paul. I read it in my morning devotion time and it may be one of my favorites. I think it captures the spirit of someone who is seeking to live for God.
"Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness," (Romans 6:13).
Maybe it's the musician in me, but I love thinking of myself as God's instrument. What kind of instrument will we be? How will we place all of ourselves in God's hands and allow God to make beautiful music through our lives?
