"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom," (2 Corinthians 3:17). I once heard freedom contrasted between false freedom and true freedom. False freedom is the freedom to do whatever you want. True freedom is the freedom to do what is right, what you ought to do. God's Holy Spirit brings us true freedom - the freedom to do what is right, the freedom to do what we ought to do, the freedom to follow the path that leads to true life, love, meaning, purpose, fulfillment.
