A friend of mine shared a very simple, yet profound way to deal with sin in our lives. I found it very helpful and I hope you do too. This approach is based on 2 Chronicles 7:14.
"…and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Here is what my friend shared: "The Lord’s command is for us to live with a pure heart so He will provide a way for us. To repent is to turn from our wicked ways. We don’t fight sin or try to beat it; we turn away from it and seek God’s face. This simple principle provides the answer we’re looking for. The second a sinful thought or image hits, we don’t fight with it. Fighting with sin and our flesh is a waste of time; both are stronger and more cunning than we are. Instead, we turn to God and connect with Him, asking that He fight the battle for us. And he does!"

Brilliant! I hope you are blessed by this and can apply it right now in your life.
