PLANS: Goodbook 08-06-12

I read this passage yesterday.  It is a well-known verse, but we cannot be reminded enough.  God said, "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.'" (Jeremiah 29:11-13).

What is your response to this passage of Scripture?  How are you comforted?  How are you challenged?  What action(s) do you want to take?

  1. This is my Life verse!! God claims me in this verse..The first verse (11) claims me. 2nd one (12)tells me what I must do (call on Him, seek Him) to be rooted to this claim and the 3rd verse gives me an important tip to stay connected "Seek Him with ALL MY HEART"! This verse made me a Christian in a full sense!!

  2. I am challenged to trust HIM more than I have previously. I have comfort in knowing HE will give me the hope I need to find a job.

  3. Wow! It's comforting and frightening at the same time. I'm also inspired by folks who dedicate their lives in God's service, particularly those who sacrifice an easier lifestyle in the process such as missionaries. I think we're all challenged to sacrifice everything for God, yet I believe that we're rewarded for our faith. I want to better represent the model provided by Christ, even though I know it's an unachievable goal.
