I would
love for our Goodbook group to engage in the National Day of Prayer this
Thursday, May 2. This year’s theme "Pray
for America" is based on Matthew 12:21, which reminds us that "In His name the
nations will put their hope."Here’s a way for us to engage in this day of prayer together. I am asking everyone in the group to:
1) Pause for a moment of prayer on Thursday.
2) Post a simple prayer for our country on Goodbook that will remind others to put their home in Jesus. You can either post your prayer on the Goodbook Facebook page or simply comment on this post on the Goodbook blog

Dear Lord, please help this country. Our leaders and our people desperately need the spiritual gift of discernment to see beyond polarizing ideologies. Please help us to see the balance between law and grace demonstrated in your Word and how it became the model by which great leaders designed our system of governance. Lord, protect our churches so we might continue to serve as a positive example of grace amid trends toward selfishness and legalism. Amen
